Great read about Momo. Nice to see there's a big, big heart inside him.... not that I ever doubted that mind!

Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko has been talking about his commitment towards improving the lives of the people living in his family's home village. His parents were originally from the village of Bendougou in Mali before they moved to France, and although Momo's never been there before he's been helping out financially since he made it as a player.

He sends clothing, shoes and money to help the children of the village and is hoping to go to the village this summer for the first time. Momo told the Sunday People: "It is important that I send what I can and help the children now I can because they have nothing. I have never been there, but I am going for the first time this summer with my brother."

He's expecting it to be s moving experience: "I know it will be very emotional for me to meet the children I am trying to help because they are really poor. They send me letters and pictures of themselves; sometimes I speak with the children on the telephone. But to actually be there will be wonderful."

The player feels it's vital he does this: "I do this because I want to make a difference. There is so much poverty there. It is important that people like me try to do something that can help them."

I read something about that in today's Observer. Momo said the whole country will be watching the final incase he's involved. They reckon he's the most famous person in Mali right now.

I think he's got a good chance of playing.

The likes of Pirlo, who needs to have plenty of time on the ball, will not relish the thought of Momo snapping at his heels all game.

I love the big heart and fighting spirit Momo shows when he plays for us, and I hate all this talk about him being sold.

Just because there's a new kid on the block - fickle b'stards, us fans ;)

I still believe he's got a big future with us, and I'd be amazed if Rafa sells him. We'll be fighting on many fronts next season, to get rid of a player like Momo would be madness - we need to keep ALL our quality players. He's shown he can to a fantastic job for us when called upon, and he'll only get better as he gets older.

I am pretty sure we'll keep Momo for next season. Fingers crossed it's just been a temporary dip in form.

If he continues playing the way he has the past three months, he will be shown the door next summer. But I'm backing him to regain his monsterhood. :)
