Ged in charge
1998 - Gérard Houllier took over as sole Manager, with Roy Evans leaving after four years in the hot-seat. Uncle Roy’s only trophy in charge had been the Coca Cola Cup in 1995, although he led us to four consecutive top four finishes in the League. Ged went on to lead us to the UEFA Cup, FA Cup, two League Cups, UEFA Super Cup and FA Charity Shield before departing in the summer of 2004.
