:hmm: does anyone have experience of getting Russian visas in the UK? Does it take long? Is it expensive for a tourist visa?

I'll be visiting St Petersburg for a couple of days - of course the Hermitage is on the itinery - but any other must-sees?

I have a stereotyped image of Russians in my mind as black market swindlers :o I'm sure that's very misplaced...

Is it expensive there for things like beer & eating out?

any info is appreciated
