Season Ticket Waiting List?

I'm wanting to write to the ticket office about the loyaly scheme and would like to make sure I everything in order.

I've Be on the waiting list for 4 years now.

Does anyone know how many people are actually on this waiting list.? It seems to be an awful lot.

 

The reason I ask is that I've been waiting weeks to get my Barcelona tickets but I only have 2 previouse champions league games on my fancard. The first lot of tickets where offerd to season ticket holders with 3 games attended.

After that it was fancard holders with 3 (and that was extended to an extra 2 days of sale for 3 on fancard).

 

But now it has gone to season ticket holders with 2 previouse games and they are on sale to them until match day on march 6th!

It seems to me that with so many people on the waiting list for season tickets there is no need to give holders so many perks like this. I think they have enough perks just by getting first refusal on all tickets! simply having a season ticket should be reward enough for loyalty.

 

There are just as many fancard holders if not more who are just as loyal, spending all there money on games home and away following the reds around europe even when they have no ticket.

In my opinion fancard holders should be sold tickets for away games and cup competion games at the same time as season ticket holders.

This loyalty scheme needs to be reveud.

 

Like I said theres alot of people waiting for a season ticket so just to have one should be reward enough. IMO

I agree with you to a certain extent. My mates who don't have season tickets seem to be forever on the phones. They have to plan their week around getting tickets. I don't even need to buy cup tickets any more

56,000 on the waiting list but probably only around 20,000 max who would take a seasie if offered to them.

 

A lot will be duplicate entries, dead people, people who ticked the box to be added to the waiting list on their fancard application form but now don't want one etc etc.

 

I disagree with the post anyway, season ticket holders should be given priority ahead of fancard holders to a certain extent. I disagreed with how they sold the Worthinton Cup Final tickets against the mancs, where seasies could just buy them with no loyalty and then the people with 3 stubs had to fight it out between them, with loads getting let down.

But the way it works at the moment is in my opinion spot on. For example I went to every FA Cup match last season barr Luton and as a result got a final ticket, despite only being a fancard holder. Season ticket holders only had to go to 2 matches, as apose to fancard holders having to go to 3. I think that is fair game personally when seasies stump up 600 quid in one go at the start of the season and a large amount of them have had their season tickets for 10 years plus, personally I think giving them small perks like that is fair enough- at the end of the day, the fancard holders who went to the most games got tickets, everyone had the oppurtunity to go to them so people shouldn't moan when as a result they don't get sorted because they've not gone the aways.

Same goes for the Barca match, you say there are loyal fancard holders who go every home game and go everywhere away, but if that was the case then they'd have 3 european games on their fancard and as a result would have been sorted weeks ago. Giving seasies a little bit of priority here and there, IE giving them the remainder of the tickets ahead of fancard holders with the same amount of credits is IMO the right way to go about doing things.

 

The only thing I think could be addressed is the way that away league tickets are allocated but that's another argument.
