LondonLiverpoolFan Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 I've just had a letter forwarded to me from my old address. It's from 'good old Ken's' congestion charging w*nkers. They state that on the 22nd of December I never paid my CC. Looking through my records it appears that they are actually correct! I was given a £50 fine if I paid within 14 days. However I moved out of that address just after the new year and then changed all my details to my new address (car registration, insurance etc.). The PCN was sent to my old address which means I've only just received it. This now means I haven't been able to meet the £50 deadline so the charge is now £150 (robbing b*stards). Anyway one thing that strikes me as bizarre is that I have been paying my CC as usual since then and have even pre-registered for the discount rate as I'm now living within the new extended part of the CC zone. Not once have they mentioned anything about owing them a PCN. Is the reason they haven't told me is that it's in their best interests so that they get the full £150 from me? Or is it that their computer system is that sh*te that it doesn't communicate with their other systems/departments. Anyone have any experiences with anything like this? To be honest I don't mind making the £50 payment as it was my mistake but I won't be feckin happy if they try to force me to pay the full £150. I guess I'm just hoping that their system is fecked and that they won't contact me for another month or so thus rendering the PCN null and void! Some chance eh!
