Liverpool goalkeeper Jose Reina has revealed that he is planning talks to extend his contract at Anfield.

The Spanish international has three years left to run on his current contract with the Reds but is already eyeing an extension.

 

Reina told the Daily Star Sunday: "Next year we'll start talking about another deal.

"I am so settled. I recharged my batteries on holiday in Majorca and Ibiza with my wife after we got married on May 19.

 

"We're both happy in Liverpool and would love to stay longer."

I was under the impression he only signed a three contract when he arrived( two left now) ,good news that he wants a new contract and also that he has longer left than i thought.

 

Pepe is very important to how we play, and while Carson and Dudek are good cover they don't sweep up behind the defence the Reina can whch has been crucial in allowing us to play a higher line.
