WEBSITE DESIGNER WANTED

Liverpoolfc.tv is recruiting a new website designer to help maintain and upgrade the hugely popular Liverpool FC website.

We are looking for a web designer who can produce high quality, accurate work that is visually appealing and who has an understanding of web page engineering. You will work with journalists, software engineers and marketing staff on a variety of tasks and will assist our graphic designer as required.

 

Job Title: Website Designer

 

Job Purpose: Assist the Liverpoolfc.tv team with the maintenance and upgrading of content on the official club website ? www.liverpoolfc.tv.

 

Responsibilities:

 

 

 

Produce images for editorial team

 

Advise editorial team on display issues

 

Ensure that unscripted site areas are current and correct

 

Contribute to design of new site areas

 

Produce wallpapers and screensavers to keep Interactive section of site fresh

 

Assist current graphic designer in production of mobile wallpapers and images

 

Assist graphic designer in other areas, eg print media

 

 

Person Specification:

 

 

 

Educated to at least A-level standard with a minimum of GCSE Grade B in English.

 

Formal design training ? preferably at University or higher education level; alternatively formal courses within employment

 

Previous work experience producing both graphics and web pages.

 

A strong team player with a high level of integrity.

 

A good attention to detail.

 

PC literate with good working knowledge of Photoshop, Dreamweaver

 

Knowledge of HTML, CSS and ability to manually edit pages and stylesheets

 

A good understanding of the official LFC website.

 

Flexible and "can do" attitude combined with a good sense of humour!

 

 

Hours of Work:

 

The standard hours of work (including a 1 hour lunch break) are:

 

Monday ? Thursday (9:00am ? 5:30pm)

Friday (9:00am ? 5:00pm)

 

In the event of business pressures it may be necessary, on rare occasions, to work outside these hours. Time in lieu (deductible from the standard hours above) is awarded in such circumstances.

 

Salary:

 

The position will attract a salary dependent on experience.

Hmmmmm...

 

Intersting, although they seem to be looking for someone a little less experienced than me.

 

What do I do... Im a senior digital designer, last job was at Vodafone UK, and my CV covers what they want plus more...

 

Git... Im happy in my job at the minute, although 9 months ago left Vodafone because they pissed me off, would have been ideal then.

 

Also think a salary match might be too far for them.

 

I could even put them few wallpapers I did in my portfolio lol... and the HJC wristbands....

 

Aaaaaaarrrrgghhhhh...

 

Plus I currently live in Notts so would have to relocate....!!!!

Go for it mate, would be a cracking job... just think right now it would be of a stretch to have to up sticks and move.

 

Then again would be a damn shame if I couldnt cut costs down to nuthin'... Would feel like I died last summer :)

I would doubt it mate.

 

They will want resources in-house, especially with the role having to interact with marketing etc...

 

Seems they arent just after a web designer, but someone who can also do some hard copy work.
