Our ability to create chances is more about good movement throughout and less about the brilliance of individuals to me. Suarez's pressing and work rate was more important to how the team functioned than the style of goals he scored and made. I'm more concerned about how we replace that

I think it's less likely they're involved with the Pearce article because that was our actual bid. If they were involved, I would expect us to bid less. I don't doubt Southampton have been speaking to other Journos and trying to inflate Lallana's value

If I was a journalist making guesses, and I saw that LFC had been watching Southampton, I'd immediately think Luke Shaw. There has been talk of him moving all season and it has been obvious that we need to strengthening at the back (esp. LB). But there has been barely anything linking him to us. Even though Lallana is a fairly obvious shout (despite us being stronger in that area of the team), why was 20m mentioned straight away, through an Echo journalist? That doesn't strike me as an article Southampton or people from Lallana's camp would put out. I'm open to the idea that these stories were born outside club walls, given the nature of football dealings. Still can't dismiss the possibility that LFC released info, considering the timing and authors of certain stories. If it was from the club, the info being made public is a legit concern
