Think FA have to pay Liverpool up to £200,000 or three weeks wages in compensation. However, think Rodgers should do a Fergie. He used to refuse sending players from time to time, claiming they were injured when they weren't. on top of Sturridge, of course, we now have to contend with injuries to Can and Allen following the friendlies.

Because his was a high profile one - he never really recovered from being crocked while playing for England.

The example I gave was given because it was a Liverpool player but there have been plenty of examples since of players being injured while training with England. C*** They got that from the Evening Standard.

Not really. Jamie Redknapp was out for months injured while with England. It was a good bet either him or Sterling would suffer an injury while with England, imo.
