i agree - how sad is it seeing grown men in a shopping centre walking about in football tops? or worse still down the pub when a game isnt even on. very sad. i have the new home shirt - ill wear it to Anfield or when the game is on TV - then ill take it off.

i think rafa does want to sell Alonso but wont mind if he can keep hold of him until Jan, especially as Luca, Babel and Mascherano are at the Olypmics. If Alonso goes to Arsenal i think you will see the Alonso of 3 years ago - he will fit in too well there - that why we would rather sell him to a spanish club.

its common knowledge that Rafa is a fan of Silva - i dont know if a bid has been made but i think there will be one if we offload some of our players.

who? what i was told last week has now mostly come out in the press now over the weekend. i dont have any info as i dont know anyone in the no im just passing on what ive heard we will get barry and want to sell alonso, pennant and voronin to have a chance to bid for silva. as i said - everyone pretty much knows this now - i just heard it last week

that was obvious from Spurs they are/were willing to sell. that statment was embarrsing - but not as bads as "Barrys staying" from Oneill when the whole world knows he is off!!

because i know from a top informer from another site. if we didnt have the money - how could we discuss a transfer with Villa for Barry WITHOUT selling Alonso, Pennant and Voronin. would we go to Villa and say "we have unsettled your player and want to sign him - we dont have the money we hope you take shirt buttons as payment" i think (might be wrong) a medical is penciled in this week. The owners have given Rafa the money - they just want him to sell Alonso in Jan if not in Aug Barry will be our last signing unless we sell Alonso, Pennant & Voronin. trust me on this.

we DONT need to sell Alonso to fund the Barry deal - we have the money - the owners have sanctioned £20m for the deal. we DO have to sell Alonso, pennant and Voronin if we want to put in a bid for Silva.

another youngster who wont get a game and then is released. watched a few of our pre-season games - how many youngsters will actually get in the 1st team and keep thier place? (carling cup dont count !) not many is the answer im going for. some of them cant get to grips with the basic rule of football - pass to your own players !!! im looking forward to seeing Nemeth he does look class.
