To be fair he's gotten his fair share of cards for doing it. Had Masch got a single yellow for either incident yesterday no one would be talking about it, he got two, one for a bad tackle and another for mouthing to the ref, two yellows is a red, the rest is history. It sucks but he got what he deserved.
