    Gerrard

With Rafa's comments about attacking full-backs instead of expensive wingers then I imagine Gerrard will play more of a midfield role instead of supporting Torres. The idea of a 433 type would suit with Mascerano in the middle with Gerrard on the right of the 3 hence Barry on the left of the 3 in a narrow midfield. This would then balance the midfield and allow changes with substitutions. Obviously Torres up front with Yossi/Babel/Kuyt/Keane supporting. None of our so called wide players play like wingers so it would not really be a massive change in the way they play. As long as they stand in the right place (Torres quote) then they should be okay.

  10. Also the "Rafa is lucky again" tag that Andy Gray has on him. Did he mention that the Mancs where lucky when they won that post-season friendly at Moscow. (Not sure as my telly couldn't get reception that night - strange)

  12. Just looked at Clattenburg's Wikepedia page. Looks like it's been updated by a Bitter then had some sense added to it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Clattenburg During the local derby match between Everton and Liverpool on October 20, 2007, he declined Everton's appeals for a penalty in the third minute of added time, seconds before the final whistle, when Jamie Carragher pulled Everton's Joleon Lescott to the ground in the Liverpool six yard box. Tony Hibbert and Phil Neville from the home side both received red cards from Clattenburg during the match, although Hibbert's was controversial as Clattenburg had drawn a yellow card from his pocket, but then showed a red card after Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard spoke to him. Clattenburg also neglected to send off Liverpool's Dirk Kuyt after a shocking two-footed aerial challenge, instead only showing him a yellow card instead of the straight red that the offence should have warranted. Following this disastrous display, it was confirmed by the FA Premier League that Clattenburg would not officiate any match on the weekend of November 3. Many Bitter Bitter Blues are unhappy with how Clattenburg officiated the match, but it is believed that this fustration is truly derived from the fact they will become real woolly backs when they are forced to move out of the motherland that is Liverpool and become Tesco's slaves in Kirby. Some bitters have also commented that they are really looking forward to running around Kirby like red indians stealing socks off peoples feet.
