The only idiots are the people who come in here and criticise OUR OWN. Owen? Why the hell do we owe him anything? Club legend? yes. 158 goals? yes. Won the FA Cup? yes again. However he owes us a million times more. We made him the man he is today. If it wasn't for us for all we know he could be working in a dead end job. Talented? Without doubt but if you change one thing in history then the rest of his life might have played out different. Furthermore Owen was said to be worth around £20m when he left us. In 7 years we paid him and paid him well. We more than paid for those 158 goals and the FA Cup. We made him the highest paid player in our then 109 year history. We gave him love and admiration. He then snubbed us not once but twice. We owe him nothing.

$15m US Dollars split between 6 teams depending on finishing position. As we finished second we would have gotten the second largest cut - duh! FIFA paid travel and accomodation. I would assume our deal was with the BBC for the broadcasting rights rather than with FIFA. Unsure about gate recipts. Posts merged: Weeks wages was £1.2m last time i checked.
