Can not un-see cocking the meat.
Anyway... Remains to be seen if he will survive/thrive under next manager, but I remember reading that he's seen more as one of a double pivot 6 rather than an 8, which is surprising given how bad he is at tackling, but kinda makes sense given how he can keep the ball and go past a man. It's just what he does next that's confusing. Does remind me a bit of Gakpo when he first arrived, not really knowing what he was doing and where to go... As I said before, he's obviously not as bad as these recent performances suggest, but he's hopefully at the end of the midfield pecking order at the moment... Good to come on and give players a break if we are already winning, but I don't really want to see him starting again any time soon.

Better than any of us thought id say. Incredible first season hes having.
Also interesting given how it took him time (admittedly not playing in his best position) to really start contributing , and we were all raving about Szoboszlai, and I think a lot of us thought Mac Allister was a decent player but... And then he has just been sensational these last few months.
That goal tonight, while not from as unexpected a source, reminded me a bit of Kompany vs Leicester in terms of the importance and impact.

In other news, Bremerton Diaz sounds like, looks like, and plays like someone out of Dream Team. One of those where it's hard to really believe he's a professional footballer, and I think it maybe more likely he's George Weah's (Or Diddier Baptiste's) cousin.

Didn't expect to see him score a backheel volley from outside the box, but that's pretty much what he did.

Looked pissed off being subbed and the result entirely justified the means.
He'll be chomping at the bit come Sunday.
Yeah. In all the time here, he's been fit for almost every match, and has never missed anything close to 2+ months through inury. Still looks rusty, and was the right move to take him off given how he was contributing (or not) compared to the others. Some team is gonna pay for his frustration, and he likes to score against the mancs, so hopefully Sunday...

I wonder how much of it is Joe being knackered? He's been bloody brilliant for the last 3 months so some fresh legs coming back should help massively.
Yeah - this is almost certainly the most minutes he's played for us in a season, and with injuries and others being rested more, it wouldn't surprise me if he was a bit knackered.

I didn't realise we had bought the best midfielder in the league when he came in. I didn't get the fuzz when he was playing DM/6.
Not a realisation made today but still. What a player he is. What a strike today and what a player. Best midfielder in the league. I'd fancy him to win it for us.
He has been so damn good these last couple months. It's just absurd how good he has been at pretty much everything. Winning the ball back, fantastic passing, keeping the ball, assists, and goals.
Enzo cost 3 x as much

Thought he was really good again when he came on. Didn't stop running, and looked to move us forward, and make incisive forward passes. Wouldn't be surprised to see him start in midfield with Endo (assuming he's fit) and Mac Allister on Sunday.

I think we can be too quick to write players off. He had a serious injury and then broke down with it again. Looks absolutely back to his best again.
Yep - just as people wrote off VVD after his serious injury...

I'm not sure what you are disagreeing with.
Probably meant to reply to me. That would have made more sense.
Just now, Hassony said:it was funny, like I saw it at 2-0 and thought how s***e are united, then saw it was 2-3 and thought how s***e are Chelsea, and then saw your message and checked and it was back to how s***e are united
The absolutely correct answer obviously is how s*** both of them are.

That defending for the winning goal was beyond school boy bad. Falling asleep and letting Palmer shoot like that and then not properly putting your body in the way of it. lolz

He's also beating players again. Was a long time when he couldn't beat a man, now teams are struggling to get close to him.

Disagree. A win would give them confidence. This is a real kick in the teeth which combined with their injuries at the back will hopefully make it hard for them to lift themselves. We need to go at them from the first whistle and treat them like the poor side they are, as opposed to the respect we usually give them at Old Trafford.
Yeah, could go either way. Often this season when they win, they follow it up with something dreadful.. But agree we just need to go at them like the crap team that they are. Won't be the first time we've played them when they have loads of injuries, and it's infuriating how often they get a result against us even with loads of players missing.

He’s only back from injury. He’s more raw than the other 3 we bought.
Definitely has potential, and maybe a player that needs games and rhythm... But Jones was very good when he came on, and he'd been out for longer than Grav...

That's a really funny result, but feel a win (to keep the delusion up) or draw would have been better for us. Don't think it will be this crap version that turns up on Sunday, but hopefully they ran themselves into the ground and will be mentally broken too.

Not really sure. I certainly called it a thunder-f***. Maybe I'll go correct myself, just so she doesn't get too confused about terminology.

What a ball for the 3rd. Gomez has been great at times this season but Robbo should be back in from now on
He's not been at his best this season, but showed great drive and fight when he came on, and as you say, great assist for our third.
-
Thank f*ck we won, but not sure I want to see much more of Gravenberch this season unless we are comfortably winning. The term soft noodle always comes to mind. It's like he's got zero fight, and can't really do anything right at the moment. Obviously not as bad as some of his performances suggest, but the difference between him and Jones (who has been out for much longer than Grav was) was astounding.

Thanks to this amazing footballer, I had to explain to my 10 year old kiddo, what it means to thunder-f*** the ball into the net.

Mac Allister back to playing #6 ... Would have preferred to see him rested and Gomez there, but hopefully we get the job done and can take players off..

Perfect days - it's a Japanese film about nothing in particular, but it's just very wholesome and well made. Reminded me a bit of Patterson. They're both the kind of movies people will either love or hate.

There's ref stats. Not sure how up to date it is but looks at Webb's stats. What a c***. We were at least a decent team the whole time he was a ref.
Absolutely shocking (even if somewhat unsurprising) to see what we suspected, shown in the stats. And yet this man reffed us numerous times, and is now head of refs. wow.

That was City’s only tricky remaining League game tonight, bar Spurs away. They’re winning all their others and will pass our goal difference unless we rack up a few tomorrow. We have to win all our games.
Still a pretty sweet position to be in that we're above them (albeit on GD) with them having played a game more. I've learned from the last few title races to pretty much ignore their fixtures, because any time I think "oh, that could be a difficult one for them..." they just win it easily (as they did tonight). Would be nice if, for once they didn't just go and win every game you expect them to (and Palace weirdly have been a bit of a thorn in their side in the past) but yeah, it's all about what we do. And at least this is the first time under Klopp (other than when we won the league by some distance) when it's in our own hands at this stage.
