Why do the refs not see things against chelsea?
ricflairandy replied to ricflairandy's topic in Liverpool FC
I see, your a chelsea fan. I get it now. And why you think carvaliho shouldnt have walked for elbowing someone in the face? or gallas for pulling down cisse? And thats 2 pens, if we talking about the officials doing there jobs correctly -
Id start cisse and fowler from the off. And id start hamman and momo in midfield , with kewell on the left(our best player at the moment) and kromkamp on the right. Gerrard needs a rest.

Why do the refs not see things against chelsea?

Would it? Would the score have been way worse if carvalio had rightly been sent off for elbowing kewell? Or if we had a pen when gallas pulled cisse down with 10 mins to go? -

I disagree, man utd got away with things yes, but nothing as blatent or as frequent as what is happening now with chelsea. -
Weve now had 10 clear penaltys not awarded against chelsea. 11 if you count the goal given instead in the champs semi. These are not, "ooh, that could have been a pen" these are nailed on stonewall pens that the refs for some reason are scared to give. ITs not that they dont see them, for instance mike riley put the whistle to his mouth and then changed his mind at anfield, and whiley made us retake a corner after the elbow on kewell yesterday. Yet chelsea got there first ever pen claim against us awarded without a seconds thought at anfield earlier in the season. You might say "but it was a clear pen" but so where the other 10 that we have not been given. Is it just pure incompatence, is it scared refs or is it somthing more sinnister. What gets me, is that the media just laugh about it, as do pundits as if its all a big joke and nothing serious. I know the game yesterday was lost by our inability to finish, but that to me makes the little desicsions that chelsea get away with all the more important , especially in tight games. Its not just penaltys. Gudjohnson clearly handled the ball yesterday, but no pundits felt it was worth mentioning. Reina clearly got the ball, yet gudjohnson went down and stayed down as if hed been shot. And then you have the robben incident, in which gallas and terry both get away with what could be described as attacks on reina. And it doesnt stop in games against us. Terry should have missed a few games few suspension recently, as hes had 3 clear as anything handballs in his last 4 games for chelsea. one of which , the double handed save that a keeper would have been prowd of. All of these incidents have been clearly seen by refs who have waived play on. And it doesnt stop there, along with the diving, conning of refs, faking injury, time wasting and attempting to injure opponents(lampard and essien spring to mind) they also have carvalho pulling down players slyly time and time again, and getting away with it. Despite the fact that they obviously have very good players(and youd hope so for the millions spent) and can on there day play good football against the lesser sides, the cheating element, and the frequency in which they get away with it amazes me. Its far more than man utd ever got away with, and far more blatent. Its so bad, that it spoils the games. Anyway, im not using it as an excuse for yesteradys result, as both goals where fair and our inability to finish cost us imo. BUT it does grate, because week after week when they are up against it or facing a possible loss or draw , these things cheating events seem to conspire in there favour. And it just adds to the lack of respect that i have and ever will hold for chelseas wins under that regime. A respect that i have in the past begrudgingly had for both arsenal and man utd.

If anyone can explain any of those desiscions id be made up thanks

Which player shall we victimise this time.
ricflairandy replied to Spion kop's topic in Liverpool FC
If you where talking about gerrard last year, id agree with you. But to say that about him this year is just wrong, hes been awsome for most of this year, last 2 or 3 games apart. The dissapointing thing for me, is that as a captain he doesnt get involved enough in the way that he did when he threw a punch at shearer. Roy keane(i hate to go on about this) would have been straight in there at teh end defending reina to the ref and probably would have smacked terry or gallas when they started having a go at reina -
Carvaliho elbows kewell point blank in the face in front of the ref, what happens ----- he gets a talking to. Reina makes a perfect tackle on gudjohnson who then goes down like hes been shot(not for the first time) what happens ---- reina booking and then a red. Gallas pushes cisse in the box - no foul! Do we need to learn how to cheat? They get away with it so much, and so do other teams both now and in the past. We can see it, but the refs dont. Im sure the refs are not biassed so that must mean that chelsea and co are good at cheating or gamesmanship or whatever you call it(but its cheating). Anyway, do we need to learn how to cheat?
-
No one is blaming the loss to cheating, but it does make it alot harder when the amount of cheating they do goes unpunished. I cant belive for one second that if it was the otehr way around chech would have walked, or that if carra had albowed robben or cole in the box that he would still have been on the pitch.

They didnt bide there time. They would have been happy with a draw, as it was us that needed the 3 points. However , on the counter they get a corner , score and then the game is theirs.
-
I agree in part, but the 11 who started bar morientes on wed are good enough to win any game.
-
I wouldnt go that far. For the first 35 mins it was all us, they didnt get out of there own half.
-
Its times like this when i wish rafa wasnt so nice. I want someone to speak out against the amount that they get away with.
-
fair enough, we havent done enough upfront to win it, but when your up against the amount oddescisions they get away with it makes it that much harder.
-
Now if you said he wasnt good enough as a lone striker, id agree with that.
-
I got the imperssion chelsea would have been happy today with just not loosing the way they approached the game. But against the run of play they get a corner that led to a goal and weve been out of the game ever since even if we can get 2 goals back now, a draw still isnt good enough
-
I think your being a bit optimistick there my friend. 3 deaths! dont make me laugh.
-
Same old story against chelsea. All us, they get a freekick, corner or pen and bang. Game over.
-
come on , you could have picked a better example of henry though. I totally agree apart from yesterdays goal, i mean he just blasted it , it went more or less straight to the keeper who should have done better. Good point, bad example , imo because cisse just blasts everything.
-
doubt it, despite what rafa says, he wont give up on the title untill its mathamaticly impossible, and id be gutted if he did.
-
Cisse was brilliant against them at home in the champs league. One of the few realy good games hes had for us.
-
Although not overly kean on it, id put cise on the right and garcia or gerrard behind crouch. Cisse on the right would keep makalele and duff or robben back
