  2. According to Prentice in the Echo Rafa's net spend under G+H was £9million in 3 seasons.
  3. Ok so who was fronting the other bid?? can that be divulged now?
  4. Hodgson to get £40 million in January??? just imagine it thats 6.666666666666666667 Poulsons!!!
  5. they should ask a couple of the posters on here...
  6. Yeah its been irrational for years why stop now!! But his lawyers did say that both H+G accepted they had to sell so im hoping the argument is just over whos going to buy us, and im hoping that the posters that seem to know whose behind Mill are right and its not so bad afterall.
  7. cos i thought once it got to that point its nothing to do with him, its not his to sell. Im not sure why anyone would pay more for a club with a 9 point deduction and probably going to get relegated than they could now.
  8. Probably but im sure that could have been argued at a later date especially since the initial injunction was clearly a stalling tactic and clearly based on lies. As soon as the UK judge made his judgement yesterday they should have gone ahead with the sale and dealt with any problems from Texas later.
  9. He would also own a club -9 points and probably getting relegated with a fan base that universally wants him dead!!
  10. why? surely he gets nothing at that point whoever the clubs sold too? also they'd then also be trying to sell a club -9 points i doubt they'd get more money than they could now.
  11. I don't think even Hicks is stupid enough to think he can remain here, his lawyers admitted as such a few days ago they accepted the sale was inevitable they're just hoping for a better deal for themselves. If Hicks did somehow manage to stay there would be boycotts and the club probably would get relegated. (plus theres a decent chance someone would do him some harm!!)
  12. But its not Hick's to sell at that point.
  13. You could probably make the legal argument that the club has already been sold once that injunction is lifted, to be honest we could probably have ignored it and dealt with it later because it was clearly never going to stand up to argument and was clearly a delaying tactic. the chronology of events is in NESV's favour.
  14. If he is then Mill are basically committing suicide before they've even started...
  15. At this stage though he also runs the risked of being sued for a lot of money so trying to save a few millions now could cost him much more later. Either way i just don't see how Hicks can be involved with the club still in ANY capacity after the last few days. Surely Mill must realise the damage it would do if he was still involved even in a small capacity.
  16. If any new owner continues to run us in the same way that G+H did then they're gonna own a Championship side very quickly.
  17. I think its more like Hicks just trying to get the best deal for himself he stands to lose £140 million so even if the deal with Mill wipes a few million of that loss its probably worth it from his point of view.
  18. Time for those that seem to know whose behind Mill to spill the beans? At least to hopefully put people at ease on here. I doubt it'll jeopardise anything at this stage either way.
  19. looking at this from Mills side why would they even contemplate keeping Hicks on in ANY capacity after the last few days? I understand the worry about Mill owning us but i think the bigger worry that Hicks is still involved somehow won't materialise. Mill must surely understand the hatred felt towards him which has got even stronger over the last few days so if they were to buy the club and still involve Hicks in any capacity surely they must realise that would be suicide.
  20. think his inbox is about to get busy!!
  21. He also fails to understand that a club whose "owners" are days away from defaulting on their loans is not worth full market value. It wasn't the job of Broughton to find the best deal for H+G it was his job to find the best deal for Liverpool FC.
  22. Well done Martin, Christian & Ian. Well done RBS. Well done supporters! Tweet from John W Henry

  24. Not sure about that and if it were that straight forward im sure they'd have done it by now, which suggests it isn't straight forward and unlikely to be resolved in 10 days time.
  25. Can't believe they can still make a small profit on this despite everything thats gone wrong!! Makes you wonder why better peoples weren't interested when Moores sold up. That you can do things so badly and still make a "small" profit is crazy, even crazier that they aren't happy to walk away from this mess with a few million for their trouble.
