If its gonna be someone like Carlton Cole id rather we kept the money for January (assuming Roy gets to keep it) we have Jovanovic, Kuyt, N'Gog and even Babel that can play as a forward and with Joe Cole being able to cover the wide positions if its going to be an average player like Carlton Cole its not worth it. Zamora i wouldn't mind, i think hes really improved as a player over the last couple of seasons, holds it up well and also scores a decent amount of goals.

Ok maybe the deal is ready for when hes 17. Hes obviously highly thought of going with the first team to Germany and he should figure in the Carling Cup this year. Think hes a player we have to make sure doesn't get disullusioned by lack of opportunity, he looks an amazing talent already.

Dalle Valle especially im pretty sure we turned down a bid that was over a million for him from Fulham last season so we obviously place a value on him.

the swap makes more sense, i doubt it'd be a loan as has been reported some places because they're not ready to figure in Fulhams frirst team yet. We're not going to let 2 very promising young players go for nothing so maybe it'll be a straight swap?

So are we paying cash for Konchesky or is it a straight swap for the 2 young players that have been mentioned?

Hes more box to box than Masch and more of a goal threat, but from what i saw hes really competitve full of energy and really disciplined think it'll be a great signing if it comes off (fingers crossed)

Some reports saying Dalle Valle and the other youngster could be loan signings although given they're hardly likely to figure for Fulham i don't see the point in that. Could mean Lucas is being sold which means we probably need another CM on top of Meireles, the Diarra link is still there. We do need another striker with a physical prescence although Babel has shown a few glimpses that he could do a job up front for us. Maybe we could use the money elsewhere if Roy can get more out of Babel.

Watched Konchesky against Man Utd and he kept Valencia really quiet, he got forward well too although his final ball wasn't always great. But hes pretty solid the manager knows his game well and he knows this league which Salcido doesn't. Ideally we'd get someone better but hes solid enough.

Funny that i thought he did pretty well, Valencia had one of his quietest games for a while and i was surprised how well he got forward too. Maybe his final ball wasn't great but he is an improvement on Insua, not good enough but for where we're at at the moment hes a solid option.

Fear we're gonna get overrun in midfield looking at the teams. Gerrard needs to be super disciplined since its 2 v 3 in there. Against Spurs it was the same and City's 3 evetually took over. The front 4 need to work very hard tonight to close down City's back 4 and give them no time to play.

Caceres would be ok, he can play anywhere accross the backline and is young enough that we could sell him on if it didn't work out, Hleb would be on huge wages and we just don't need him.

Don't believe that for a minute, yes hes not going to get many games hes probably 5th choice in his position at the moment, but i think we're hoping he'll have a good season in Italy and an Italian side will buy him from us. couldn't care about Aquilani going on loan, i think hes 5th in the pecking order at central midfield at the moment and even if we sold Masch im guessing we'll sign another midfielder and still let him go. He hasn't shown anything like enough to suggest he can be successful in the PL. Let him go back to Italy hopefully play well enough to get some interest from Italian clubs and sell him. With his wages off the books for a year that might also enable us to sign someone else. Id take someone like Gera over Aquilani every time.

If we need money for a striker we should sell Aquilani, don't see where he fits into the team if Gerrards gonna play central midfield, i think some of his transfer fee was based on appearances so if we can sell him now and use that money for a striker and keep Mascherano the team is much stronger.
