  1. Had a chat with a lawyer friend at the weekend. He feels that if the Huang bid had been a serious contender with all teh money he claimed, they could have forced the issue by simply gazumping the other bids. Because the other bids are serious, and probably for more money, the board have to consider them else there would be a legal challenge from G&H if all bids have not been fully considered and appraised, and one for them was for more money than the one accepted and had not been taken seriously.
  2. smacks of him being told he's not the prefferred bidder
  3. So who could it be? China, Sharjah, Kuwait, Rhone and hopefully Ambiani.
  4. Impressive run through the centre of the Arsenal team. good battering ram.
  5. There's been some noise in the Indian press apparently.
  6. I think we did well, Arsenal were clearly the better side in the first half, they looked a week or two fitter as a team. Wilshere played a blinder for them, surprised they took him off. They closed us down very well and their passing was the usual slickness you expect from them. As it went on we settled and played good football. The sending off may have given us the kick we needed but it happened at a time when we were starting to poke holes in them, and I think thats why they were rattled second half. I prefer Gerrard midfield, his passing is what we missed last year when he was in the hole, after Alonso had left. It also allows him to track back where he is more than useful. Great game for N'gog. Cracking goal and held the ball up well a good few times which shows he's been working on his game, unlucky not to have two. Needs to work on his line.
  7. 1. Masch 2. Gerrard (Spraying the ball like what he used to) 3. Johnson
  8. if hodge doesn't play the strikers we have out of position (Torres, Kuyt, Babel, Ngog) we have some. But i'd like to see a poacher signed for the 442 moments.
  9. is he anywhere near in the loop at the moment?
  10. 8.30 til 9.00 sportsweek. ..and i have to admit he's gone up in my estimation recently - his job seems to be what Parry's was and he seems to be doing it quite well given the constraints at the moment. He's growing into the role. Going to take some conserted effort to win our respect though after his previous shenanigans.
  11. What a load of made up garbage. and they get paid for that?
  12. They said bids. Not proposals. They have to be very accurate with the detail at this level. And a holding statement is one that says they are busy and not ready to release details. It's far more in line with Bamba, DVC and DH than the papers. And FFS there isno smoke without fire, and theres a f*** load of smoke about. edit: Just had a call from an Indian mate of mine who knows i'm liverpool nuts, recons Ambiani in the bidding. Say that if Ambiani wants, Ambiani generally gets.
  13. well the statement itself proves that wrong. There are bids, they are being considered, club taking its time to choose right bidder.
  14. The fact that it is a holding statement is interesting as well, as a 'holding statement' is one that is made when all sorts of s*** is going down, but they can't currently release the information.
  15. Still called that - the moto near chippenham. home to teh most expensive burger king i ever did visit.
  16. which services?
  17. What that statement has done is rubbish all the press about no bids, and cancelled board meetings. Its also let us know that the process is in full swing and confirmed that there are real bids on the table. SSN just picked it up too. They really are s****.
  18. I wonder if the no information is down to the confidentiality clause.
  19. I'm on my second keyboard of the night.
  20. someone just posted this on RAWK: Will everybody please get off the stage. It's about to collapse.. Please get off the stage! made me piss myself!
  21. the club have ordered extra bandwidth for the offal
  22. From what i hear there are a couple of lads that work in the city that are touching distance from the deal. Possibly even beer with Huang himself. Thats where Bamba and others' info is coming from.
  23. I think the advantage we have is twofold, we already have a very good squad. And we have a massive worldwide fan base that already would allow us to go a little nuts on wages and stay within the new rules that are on their way in - which is where city will fall down unless they strike oil in the six yard box. a proper stadium and we're laughing. I think that's where teh chinese bid would be useful if it exists because they have recent experience in erecting fantastic stadia in next to no time. It'm wondering if part of the Kirdi deal, if that exists, involves Hick's stadium building crew as, as much as i hate to say it, they know their onions too. i know it was reported a while back that part of the deal would involve Hicks having something to do with the Stadium and other middle eastern building projects. The f***ing tumour might yet do something useful for us.
  24. Has any other outlet picked up the Telegraph's story from last nigth about the board meeting being cancelled?
  25. I think it was mentioned last night that RBS may be able to take control and therefore prevent administration. Therefore maintaining the price.
