  3. I wasn't there on saturday, why do you think i was? I was referring specifically to the Nottingham forest song. like i said, unlike the united fans we dont spend too much time singing a medley of songs about them at our games. we generally sing about ourselves. but nevertheless every now and again during a game we do sing about other teams.
  4. Every home game I go to, sit in the kop and there is without fail songs being sung about united and Nottingham Forest and there are a few songs about the Toffees. Although we don;t have numerous songs dedicated to anti united being sung at every game in fairness. we have enough material to sing about ourselves all game. united don't really.
  5. I know this is probably a rubbish story, but if its true then what th ehll are chelsea planning to do with all their wingers? Jose to pip Reds for £15m winger Sun, Jan 15 2006 13:01 Chelsea are said to be lining up a £15m swoop for winger Simao Sabrosa after Liverpool failed to match Benfica's valuation. Liverpool have always been favourites to land the 26-year-old but after the Reds refused to pay the £15million Benfica want for the player, Chelsea are now in line to wrap up a deal. Sources in Portugal claim Jose Mourinho will meet the asking price to sign the player and will then loan him back to Benfica for the rest of the season. Any move for Simao would cast further doubt over the future of Arjen Robben who is again being linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer. A source close to Benfica revealed: "Benfica's asking price for Sabrosa has always been around the £15million mark. They will not budge on that figure but Liverpool have been unwilling to meet it. "But now Chelsea have entered the race the whole situation has changed and Benfica are ready to do a deal with them." LINK

everyone seems to assume that if owen had stayed he would have a champions league medal. We dont know that, our season could have been totally different were he in the team. things happen for a reason.

from BBC: If he does not stay at Real, Owen says he favours a return to Liverpool, the club he left 12 months ago. That admission has twin benefits. Firstly, it encourages the Reds to make an offer, but secondly it appeases the Liverpool fans if he signs for one of their Premiership rivals. Although it seems unlikely now, Owen could yet end up at Everton or Manchester United, a prospect which would previously have been completely unpalatable for the Anfield faithful. But now Owen has stated his ideal destination is Liverpool, they cannot really justify turning him into a hate figure if he goes to another club - because if he does, it means the Reds did not want him.

Well 1 thing is for sure, we need another striker badly, we've just sold our top scoring striker in Baros, and he was hardly prolific. If Owen is on the market, we should go for him, if we can get him for 10-12M. To say Rafa is being ruthless not to go for him is strange. Unless Rafa, ruthlessly has someone else lined. But not to sign a striker like Owen, or any striker between now and deadline day, is possibly foolish, not ruthless. I know we all love Rafa, but hes not infallible. Passing up on Owen coming back is a mistake I think. All this stuff about systems is nonsense. Owen is that good he can play in any system. You's swear owen hadnt played in a 1 up front system before the way people are talking on here. he did it loads of times under GH.
