  1. I'm just surprised anyone at the club meets this SOS lot. They speak for a very small number of fans and all their daft gestures will make absolutely no difference whatsoever. They do not represent Liverpool fans; they represent themselves
  2. You say that "every season" Kuyt goes weeks with out scoring or playing well and still gets picked. Well last season he scored 12 goals in the league while playing 95%of his time on the right - the same number of goals as alleged "world-class" striker Rooney managed. He also contributed 9 assists, which was joint top with Gerrard last season (and three times as many assists as Alonso managed, interestingly). So he scored or made 27% of our league goals last season. This season he's joint second-highest scorer in the team on 5 league goals while still playing wide right, which is the same number as Gerrard, who's needed two penalties to reach that total. He's also made two assists, so this season has contributed directly to 19% of our goals. So for both this season and last season these are very impressive returns for a player you seem happy to slate. Perhaps Benitez isn't such a know-nothing idiot after all?
  3. Me for sure. He's been far better than any of our other midfielders this season
  4. Easiest choice I'll have all season. Lucas by several light years. Anderson is quite hopeless and, for £18m, was a staggeringly bad buy by Man U. I can't ever remember Anderson doing anything worthwhile in any game I've seen him play. He can't pass, can't tackle, can't head, has no pace and is woefully one-footed (left) - apart from that he's brilliant
  5. Alonso had zero speed and seldom played in the final third - as his less than impressive 3 assists and 3 goals out of 77 last season attest - but it didn't seem to do him any harm. Lucas is a very clever footballer and seldom makes a poor pass (54 successful out of 59 against Villa I believe). Speed of thought is more important than being a natural sprinter. His run from the edge of our box to chase his own pass to Kuyt and take the return before slipping Ngog through for the second goal midway inside their half, leaving Man U's midfield and defence spreadeagled, was a perfect example of this. As far as I'm concerned he's been head and shoulders above any of our other midfielders this season
