Cracking question: Appointing Roy was a massive mistake. If we lose Pepe and Nando, we'll be set back 5 years. RH has only won 13 away games in his whole career in England.

Fenway have to be very, very careful here. Any goodwill they accrued form the take over could dissipate pretty quickly if they don't deal effectively with the management situation. FFS, Fat Sam got sacked for his results at Blackburn and he only acquired one less point that Hodgson.

Yes I have and having a light-weight, skillful player in the middle wouldn't have forced Hodgson to play a higher line, or press the opposition, or not instruct his team to drop back deep into our had when the oppo have the ball, or not play Konchesky at left back, or, etc. etc.

He's performed better than Alberto in that role over the last 3 or 4 seasons.

Meireles is better than Aquilani as a central midfielder and Gerrard is better than him in the second striker role. He hasn't been a huge loss this season, imo. Of course, it would be very nice to have him as an option.
