Crap local events and news

The houses at the top of my old road, always go all out for Christmas with lots of lights etc and collect money for charity. It's a nice enough idea, and its not that difficult to just drive around that part of the road if you're skint, but every bloody year they have a big "Turning on the lights" ceremony, with "celebrity" guests.

 

And who was it this year I here you all chorus?

Thats not a celebrity, thats just a person!

 

And why in hell did the local papers decide that was important enough to stick on the front page? Were there no cats stuck up trees or old people looking for a post office stories around?
