One killed in aerosol factory explosoin

One person died today and three others were in hospital following an explosion at an aerosol factory.

The explosion took place at North West Aerosols, in Aintree, Liverpool, at 7.50am.

A large fire broke out and the building was said to be well alight. Seven fire crews and a hazardous materials unit were at the scene this morning.

A spokeswoman for Mersey Fire Service said: "There has been one fatality and three men have been taken to University Hospital Aintree.

"We have sent seven crews and a hazardous materials unit, as a precaution."

There were no details on the age or sex of the dead person, or the condition of the injured men.
