BBC say Barcodes agree club record fee for Owen

Sky has the same story, but its just a re-gurgitation of the other story this morning with a different headline.

I'm not so sure it's the same story - Newcasle have offered a "record" fee - does this mean a record "loan" fee or purchase fee? This is where it's confusing me

 

I think it's hilarious that a club who are openly a players 3rd choice (4th because the mancs ruled themselves out) are so desperate to sign him!

 

I guess now it's a case of put up or shut up for Liverpool now - Friggin' hell I'll be glad when this is all over!
