You're right in saying that it's in all supporters interests and I wonder if it'd be possible for SOS to maybe join forces with other fan groups to put forward your ideas as one big, clear voice.

 

I don't know whether it would be do-able, but I've always wondered why the Prem couldn't just introduce a points deduction rule. For example,on the day of the takeover a clubs accounts would have to be registered with the league, and at the end of the season they get examined again - for every 1% increase in debt of the club without assets to balance them (players or infrastructure improvements) then the club gets two points deducted. That way, banks wouldn't dare lend money to the likes of G+H because it would have lead to relegation*- in other words, it just wouldn't be worth even attempting the leveraged buy-outs of football clubs.

 

*We would've finished with roughly minus one thousand points..

 

Like I say, that's probably an over simplification but good luck anyway in what you're trying to do.
