So, Sunday then.

 

Was pondering it on the train this morning, first trip back since the CL game last year. Took me back on a memory trip about that night.

 

Been going to the match for nigh on 30 years, thought I'd seen it all. Unbelievable highs and catastrophic lows.

 

Something about that game though got to me like no other though.

 

I guess it was the set up, i.e we were out, no one expected us to go through.

 

All of a sudden 2-0 up and those gloating c**ts clearly now sh**ing themselves.

 

And then 2-3. Didn't think it was over though, even with 15 to go I thought, get 1 and you never know.

 

We did and then Kuyt, that header like a f**king bullet.

 

Our end went banzai and 35000 jaws dropped.

 

I had hold of a stranger by the lapels shaking the c*nt & shouting and screaming like he had just killed my mum.

 

When it subsided I thought, just one chance that's all I want, a corner in injury timee, anything.

I felt like bursting into tears.

 

And then in a fat second it was gone.

I left the ground and ran about 2 miles to try to burn off the adrenaline.

 

It didn't work, I hardly slept.

I was the exact same. Walked over 3 miles home to my flat afterwards.

 

Gutted we didn't sneak through but proud as fook that we rattled them good, gained a lot of pride back (without Stevie too) and only just missed out

Great, Martin Atkinson is the ref. Him and Phil Dowd absolutely loathe us.

 

Atkinson has let Duberry, Bikey, Beye and all sorts of other yard dogs kick the f*** out of Torres without even giving us so much as a free kick. Carvalho and his fellow s**** house will as usual be allowed to do as they please.
