comp problems

[Farmer's Tan]

i was hoping some on here are computer savvy.Basically what happens is/was when i was on my comp surfing the net my screen would suddenly go black,same if i was playing a game,i can hear the game in the back round playing but i cant see anything.

 

its like the computer has been turned off.i opened it out and blew out the dust,checked the cables were connected properly.i also noticed that the sound was at times becoming sluggish(like when your batteries are running out).

 

the black screen started a few days ago,it happened once or twice but came back as soon as i restarted the comp,today as soon as i switched on to play it went straight to a black screen and nothing i have done has made any difference.Now i cant surf the web or anything.

 

any help is greatly appreciated!!
