Appearing as witness in a trial

Some of you may remember the drama of last summer and the fight between my landlord and the guys next door. This goes to court at the end of the month. I've never been to court in any capacity - let alone the star witness

 

It's at the crown court, so what should I expect? to be grilled by the defence counsellors? attack of my character like on the telly?? Placed in witness protection afterwards? do i have to swear on the bible etc?
