An idea from the NBA thread...

 

Most of us are around the same age, 25 to 45ish, and we seem to have been privileged to have been witness' to a number of sporting superstars who are simply sublime - the best there has ever been.

 

Michael Jordan in basketball is the obvious one. But there's also Wayne Gretzky in ice -hockey and Phil Taylor in darts.

 

Who else has proven to be the very best in their field during our adult sport-watching lives?
