Full backs that can pass the ball...

What a difference it makes to the team, with Aurellio a long ball becomes an accurate long pass and Arbeloa provides that width and energy down the right we lack when Gerrard or whoever plays there tucks inside a bit.

Of course the oppsotion were poor but the team looks so much better when Aurellio's in the side.

The key today was tempo and positive football. It helps when you have someone at the back with the quality to pass to a teammate or bring the ball forward with confidence but we went into this game with the clear idea to win it from the start. In other games we have tried to slow the tempo and have tried to avoid defeat.

Are you suggesting that ginge is an inferior left back?
