TFU Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Evening all, Not sure if this should be in the Genny or not, but by any chance does anyone know of a bar in Prague that would likely be showing the Liverpool match on Wednesday? Ta
Gunga Din Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 if slavia prague areplaying, you may have no chance. otherthan that, there is a sports cafe in Prague, cant remember its name, but its beside the Irish bar in teh main square, they will show it if you ask them nicely. infact, the Irish bar might have it on too
TFU Posted September 30, 2007 Author Posted September 30, 2007 Thats not O'Reillys is it? The front of it is a nasty yellow colour?
Gunga Din Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Thats not O'Reillys is it? The front of it is a nasty yellow colour? possibly, cant remember, there is like an entry way beside it that takes you through to a sports bar behind it
George Costanza Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 there's an irish bar on Wenceslas Square which might show it. There is another irish bar not far from the astronomical clock, just across the square. Both will more than likely show the liverpool game
Guest red john Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Rocky O'Reillys off Wenceslas Square will deffo show it. There are about 5/6 tvs throughout the bar so it will be in one of them.
cymrococh Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 There's a sports bar on Ve Smečkách that'll be showing it, right on the corner with Wenceslas Square. About 2 or 3 streets up from the street that Rocky O'Reilly's is on.
Gomez Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Evening all, Not sure if this should be in the Genny or not, but by any chance does anyone know of a bar in Prague that would likely be showing the Liverpool match on Wednesday? Ta There is a sports bar called Legends off old town square that has numerous screens and very pleasant beer wenches. Probably near the irish bar across from the astronomical clock mentioned above, but I always found legends better to watch footy in. see their website I usually managed to meet a few Liverpool fans in there as well. Much better up that end of town than around Wenceles Sq. Less seedy, less stag do's and the beer is half the price. Though the seediness is sprawling all the time.
owenthomas Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Darlings will have it on.. if not you have it off..
TFU Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 Went to Rocky Oreillys last night, it was alright, quite typical of a bar back home. They had the footy on as you say, so least I have that as a fall back Will try legends first tonight, as that looks pretty good. Then I will try darlings as that looks even better
denver Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Legends would be my pick, watched us play Barca there a few years ago and the atmosphere was great. Rocky's will probably have the Celtic game on, it's not bad for the fotty though, I remember seeing Josemi's debut game in there, funny the things you remember. Garcia was never offside either. There is also O'Che's (Irish-Cuban fusion bar, I kid you not) down near Karlov Most. There is an Aussie bar that would put on any game you asked for, but I can't remember it's name, or where it is other than "near the old town square". In my defence, I drank a fair bit when I was there....

They have every Liverpool game on as they have Sky and also the Arabic/Norwegian and South African channels. I never miss a game while I'm here. There is also a good group of regular expat/local Reds here for every game, including my mate Mr Shouty from the Outer Hebrides. The beer is about 50p a pint and they have good pizzas. You are best reserving your table before you go. All staff speak good English and the girls bring the drinks to your table. Edited October 3, 2007 by Armin_Tamzarian
