The English club owned by Thailand's former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra informed the Football Association of Thailand [FAT] that they wanted to give Thai players, who are competent enough, a trial with a possible lucrative transfer to arguably the world's most popular league on offer. The FAT has subsequently selected the 19-year-old Teerasil and his two Asian Cup team-mates Suree Sukha and Kiatprawut Saiwaeo for the overseas trial.
