Is Liverpool's name on the cup?

 

The similarities between 2005 and today are stark: Liverpool squeeze by Chelsea in the tensest of Champions League semi-finals to set up a potential final with AC Milan.

 

Last night, against all the odds, Rafael Benitez's side once again showed their pedigree in reaching their seventh final in Europe's premier club competition. Tonight's semi-final between Milan and Manchester United will decide their opponent.

 

So is Liverpool's name on the cup? Are they destined to be kings of Europe yet again? Has Benitez found the perfect formula in knockout competitions?

 

Or have the Anfield club gone as far as they can go? Are Milan and United both too strong? Do the Italians have an added incentive to reach the final to avenge that defeat two years ago?
