Now we sing "we've won it five times" it so hard for me to remember that for almost a year we sang 'four times' yet I get the distinct impression I will never ever forget ramming it down the manc and blues throats that WE'VE WON IT FIVE TIMES!

I just watched a DVD of Istanbul from the fans and it really brings it back how good it was.

 

Even WHEN we win the European Cup again 'for me personally' it will never be the same again, the mental flights over there, Taskim square, the taxi to the ground, my "apologies for the delay normal service will resume shortly" banner.

 

Watching it on DVD just brings it all back, My Mrs will kill me for this but if we get to athens or anywhere else for the final in the future I will be there just in case, on the slight chance, its anywhere as good as Istanbul was.

Honestly I don't think there'll ever be another "Istanbul" type final for many years if ever. Regardless of what team, Istanbul is and always will be ours.

I thought the same too, and without wishing to mocker it, only a Liverpool v Manc final of similar proportions would better Istanbul.
