River Plate vs. Caracas FC

My hometown football club just beat River Plate 1-0 in their own stadium, this has been an amazing football week for me.

 

River's new striker Ruben seems quite a handful.

On Caracas side "El Lobito" Guerra is a good up and coming player he's really young and technically gifted, can't say if he can make it in Europe though.

Caracas have beaten River Plate again, 3-1, this time in Cucuta, Colombia, as they weren't allowed to play in their own stadium because it held less than the required 20,000. River pushed for the game to be moved to another stadium because they were mad about losing at home, well guess what Caracas won again.

 

This is the first time ever that they have reached the 2nd round in the copa Libertadores.

Went to the stadium today to watch Caracas vs. Santos....

Santos was the only team to win all 6 of their group matches, only one goal scored agains and they scored around 17 goals or something like that...

 

Caracas drew with them 2-2, and Santos tried to waste time all the game, great atmosphere for football here in Venezuela where baseball is the national game, at last Caracas could play a Libertadores game on home ground, I hope we still have a chance over in Brasil.
