Unexpected listening pleasure

I'm just had a first listen to the Karl Lagerfeld "Les musiques que j'aime" compilation. I think it's been around a few months but it's new to me.

 

The opening track on the 'at work' side, a mix of The Fall with Igor Stravinsky's Capriccio for Piano and Orchestra and The Bell Orchestre, is fantastic. The rest of the album is pretty damn good too.

 

Apparently this is the first release in a series of three with the next a compilation of Sofia Coppola's favourite songs. Should be good if her movie soundtracks are anything to go by.
