Payrise

Just need some advice, I recently became a qualified accountant in March and was expecting a payrise automatically from my boss, which never materialised. At my company we have pay rises every year to start from August so in June I spoke to my boss asking for a payrise based on me becoming a qualified accountant - she said that if anything I was overpaid, but she would look into it. In addition, as we are part of a large company she said that the whole site has a salary cap of 3%

 

Anyway she got back to me the next day and said that I was underpaid and gave me £1k payrise straight away and that I will get a 3% payrise as per normal, but she also said that she will ask her divisional manager the benchmark salary I should be getting

 

it's been nearly 2 months now and she has'nt got back to, and I am getting calls from job agencies asking if I was looking and saying that I am being underpaid by a minimum of £7k

 

Do you think I should speak to her or should i just start looking for another job ???
