he was our weakest 1st team regular at the time. There wasn't much stick given to him to be fair. I don't remember his name being booed, no en-masse laughing at him like ther was with Igor.

 

He just had the odd comment shouted at him from time to time.

 

He tried hard but wasn't one of our best defenders was he ?

When we got beat by Peterborough in the league cup, he was subbed and got booed off the pitch. Tablett got a lot of stick at the time I thought. So much so that I thought he'd gone on record saying that he felt more of an Evertonian nowadays???

I knew one of the squad at that time, he told us that for the next game, he asked Souness not to play him. He wasnt injured or anything, but his bottle had gone and he couldnt face it.
