I met Billy privately when I was 16 and again when I was 17. I watched him play scores of times. Despite that photo - which is a very good likeness - he aint a bit like Cheyrou. But there was something about his facial features and complexion that suggested that he had some ethnic strains that were not only Scottish.

 

His build was very square and strong and he walked with a dogged, rolling gait like a sailor. Overall his features conveyed great intelligence and integrity. You'd trust him with your life.
