We were the better team for 35 mins. Something goes against us and we fall apart. -
Rafa was the king of the European 2 leg fixture though. Juve away in particular was an absolute f***ing masterclass.

If we do PSG and Real/Bayern over 2 legs each, and then win a final against whoever, with this squad and after the deflating demoralising season we've had, then I dunno, maybe he would deserve to keep his job off the back of that.

I was watching a couple of episodes of Cheers recently and realised it was as long ago as it would have been watching Bilko in the early 90s. Don't think I've even thought about RAWK since about 2003 so thanks for that.

I know you're messing but the other 3 were Sunderland, Forest (just about) and West Ham. That's 4 wins in the League since the start of this year.

Wasn't being altogether serious. I was almost giving into the idea that Gerrard could be appointed til the end of the season but if it doesn't work it would be a disaster, and if it does work they'd probably give him the job full time which would also be a disaster.

Spurs are, and even then we couldn't beat them at Anfield off the back of the worst interim manager appointment in the history of the league. Would you have Rooney over Gerrard?

Aye it's revisionism. We were fantastic for the first 6 months of last season. Battering City twice (2-0 flattered them in both games) and swatting Madrid away. It started falling away after losing on pens to PSG and losing the League Cup final and it has never really recovered.

Yeah but then we went on a mad run and won the league. Say what you like about this season but last season was incredible and I loved him at the time. Still thought taking them all on the piss when the league was won rather than pushing for 90 odd points was a bit odd, like. Did you think it was crap at the time?

They were sure about him 2 years ago when the present guy was 3rd choice. I'm worried Xabi is waiting on the City job to become vacant. At least he would be guaranteed CL there next year.
