  1. Who in the blue hell is Damien Plessis ?
  2. When he has been played in the midfield 3 with Adam and Gerrard, it hasn't worked. The balance just isn't correct as neither of these guys are capable of holding or screening. I think them 3 will start in the centre against Arsenal's midfield so it be another examination of their ability to play together.
  3. Maybe so but Spearing was dropped after the loss to United. He cost us a goal and I don't think Kenny would want to start him in big games again unless absolutely necessary. So it will probably be Henderson-Adam-Gerrard versus Song-Arteta-Ramsey/ Rosicky on Saturday. Arsenal have goals in them. I think they will probably score at least 1, so the question is whether or not we can put 2 or 3 past them. We've only scored 14 at Anfield this season. Let's see if this cup success can push us on. He's had more ineffective games than effective ones in his first season. I was expecting more because for the under 21s, he seems to have more confidence about him when driving forward from midfield and shooting.
  4. Henderson has had a terrible first season. Kenny's not stupid. He bought him for a purpose but I still can't figure out what his role is in the team. He is not a right sided midfielder and his best position is in the center I believe. But playing Gerrard-Adam and Henderson in the centre together is just asking for trouble. Who is gonna do the donkey work, holding role against an Arsenal side that put 5 past Spurs ?
  5. He 's our main man right now, there's no doubt about it. If Suarez plays well until the end of the season and adds another 10 or so goals for himself and creates another 10++ scoring chances for the other football players who are on the same wavelength as him (Gerrard, Bellamy, Johnson) we can make 4th.
  6. My God, are some of you serious about including Henderson in the first 11 ahead of Adam ? At least Adam has a footballers brain and a decent left foot and worth the money spent on him. What on earth has Henderson done is his 20 or so starts this season in the league ? He has been not much more than a passenger in most of his starts for us. He's had a couple of good game early on against Sunderland and Bolton (at home) but in most other games he has been non existent and non productive. I question his role in the first 11 ? What type of midfield role is he supposed to be doing ?
  7. Henderson won't make it here. He's not good enough. Henderson vs Jones. Almost the same money spent and look at what a fantastic talent Jones is for United.
  8. I disagree with most comments. When we play Henderson, we're just carrying a passenger in the team. He does very little, is not productive and I don't see his worth in the first team ahead of a more offensive minded midfielder like Shelvey. At the moment when I see Henderson, Adam and Carroll in the same team, that's 3 passengers we are carrying.
  9. Let's be fair to Roy. He did the gentlemanly did and agreed he had to step aside. A nice man but not the man for Liverpool. Welcome back King Kenny. Hope we can sneak a win at OT tomorrow as I'm sure the players will be all fired up.
  10. Even if a new manager comes in this month, and i hope it's Kenny, he can't be expected to work miracles with our current first team and squad. We need to make a couple of quality attacking signings this month. We don't score enough goals or create enough chances...it's so depressing to watch. If we compare our squad to Man United's for example, they have 5 out and out strikers (Berbatov, Rooney, Chicarito, Owen and Bebe) - the first 3 are really good and would walk into our team. We've got 2 out and out strikers and only 1 is really good. I am sure the players feel the frustration of the fans. LFC and its fans need a lift and Grandpa Hodgson needs to be relieved of his post. Then we need to start the rebuilding of what was once a mighty club. New manager in, fresh impetus, new ideas and philosophy, 1 or 2 quality striker signings and just maybe we can still finish in the top 6 and get some honour back.this season.
  11. It's January 1st 2011 and I'm shocked that Roy Hodgson is still Liverpool manager. NESV/ John Henry please open your eyes....we all want Hodgson out. Good luck to Owen Coyle and Bolton...hope you beat us and fingers crossed that would be the final nail for Mr. Hodgson. Take Konwhatever with you on your way back to Fulham.
