MOTD Goal of the month and David Villa's Goal

Just remembered that Goal of the Month did not include Xabi's first goal but a lot of people are running their gums about David Villa's goal from just inside the same half, with the Keeper some way of his line, and he had time to pick his spot.

 

Yet if I remember correctly Xabi had to hit his instantly on the bounce while being tackled and the keeper was near the goal line.

 

But Eurosport and others are calling David Villa's the goal of the decade.

 

I'm not picking on David Villa as I had hoped Rafa would have signed him along with Pablo Aimar to give us that goal threat and creativity.

 

I'm still shocked that Xabi's goal was not included.
