Idea to raise funds for the HJC

Shoot me down if this is stupid, but seeing as there were about 40,000 reds in Istanbul it seems fair to say that most of them will have a few spare Lira (or million Lira) knocking about. Could the HJC start a collection of Turkish currency which they can then exchange for sterling and put towards the fight for justice? I personally have a 20 Lira note in my pocket doing nothing.

 

I appreciate that there may be a lot of people who have just a few coins - which the banks wouldn't normally change - but if a decent amount was collected I'm sure they would exchange it, as they have for other charities.
