i posted an article by Brian Woolnough about 6 weeks ago - he basically wrote that it's Rafa Benitez's fault that England were having a hard time (or words to that effect).. it was another classic Woolnough little Englander article spouting the usual s***e..

 

anyway, i happen to agree with you Philippe - it is actually the tabloids fault - c***s like Woolnough.. there wasn't much wrong with Eriksson as a manager for England but i thought Big Phil would have taken England on to another level.. unfortunately, before he'd even accepted the job, the press intrusion got to him and caused him to pull out of the running leaving England with SCS (i love that nickname)..

 

i would like to be able to get behind the England team but because of certain players, frustrating/poor/weak management decisions (from the FA downwards) and, most of all, the press i find it difficult..

I read in another thread that the English press could not be much worse than -for instance, the Italian...

 

I strongly doubt that Corriere dello Sport would have a picture of the sitting Italy manager with a hanging rope around his neck...

 

These horrible sub-human creatures have to be stopped. They ruin lives, they ruin football.

 

For me, the press is the nr. 1 to blame for this. The FA is, unfortunately, spinelessly following their each and every orders.

 

Oh, and I blame Fat Frank too (of course)
