Memory stick question

I've got a Sony 800i - great little phone, only problem is when I take any piccies it seems to save it on the memory stick, I can see em OK on the phone but when I connect up to the puter it only shows the phone memory on the folders.

 

I've tried swapping the memory on the phone but still cant see anything, same goes for MP3's. Whats the best way of seeing whats on the stick?

 

My Tosh lapper has a slot for an SD card thing but not sure if thats the same thing and dont want to go inserting it if its going to feck the stick up so any advice as usual would be gratefully recieved!
