Is playing on TV again right now. Really interesting to see the footage and the rise in popularity of proper football in the US. Pele's arrival tripled the attendance overnight. They had to stop a N.Y. Mets game to bring Pele on the field (who was there unannounced with a reporter) for a curtain call when people realised he was there.

 

 

 

The N.A.S.L. started working and they spent too much money too quickly and the league folded. So close!!!!
