is a new striker already signed ?

sorry for anyone that got their hopes up from the title

but has anyone considered that mark gonzalez could possibly be employed/signed as a forward next season ???

if riise, kewell, zenden and warnock are all kept, with traore shipped out and aurelio possibly brought in, then there is definitely far too many players competing for spots on the left side of the field.

gonzalez certainly has a lot of pace, as well as ball control and eye for goal (5 goals from 12 appearances aint bad for a winger)

this would mean if we signed one other striker (take your pick, rafa only knows ) we would be looking at : Crouch, Fowler, FSP, Gonzalez and a new striker, with Kewell, Gerrard and Garcia as possibilities for "the hole", which certainly gives us "possibilities"

your thoughts ???
