Yeah I know Steve. I'm beginning to lose faith in Rafa now though. As Wayne has said elsewhere I'd love for everything to work out with him and us to win the league under his stewardship but I just can't ever see it happening. It might well be best for both parties to call it quits now....

We've had more of the play during the first 4 mins of the 2nd half than it appeared we had in the 1st half. Huth booked for something?

Voronin bundled to the ground in the area but ref says no. After seeing the replay I still can't decide if it should have been given or not. Huth used his shoulder to 'ease' Voronin out of the balls path

I'm not being funny but I can't remember us every playing that badly under Houllier....

Voronin, Arbeloa and Riise. All shocking in this first half. Riise sums it up with a shot from 45 yards which finally goes out of play closer to the corner flag than the goal.

A decent passage of play from us leads to a Benayoun volley which is well saved. Flag up for offside anyway.

'Boro are making us chase the ball all over the place. Like men against boys for a couple of minutes there. Arbeloa not playing well at all. Needs an early change this game. I hope Rafa doesn't wait until the 65th-70th min as usual....

Feck we're sh*te at the moment Cross in from Downing which Arbeloa, under pressure heads the ball back across our own goal, Aliadiare coming in heads back in the direction it came and Boateng hooks the ball in.

F*cking Riise. If he'd had a right foot he'd have been able to play Benayoun in one on one, but has to use his left to poke it back to Gerrard.

Arbeloa with an air kick gives the ball to Aliadiare who draws a foul from Sami on the edge of the box.... Downing hits his freekick into the wall. Mascherano flat out on the turf having headed the ball away....
