Alcock v South Yorkshire Police

Just reading up on a point of law relating to personal injury and go a bit sidetracked by this case

 

its the case where alcock sued the police for post traumatic stress for seeing the hillborough disaster on tv, in which a loved one, although indistinguishable from the crowd, was killed

 

the court ruled that you can't sue for damages as a result of showing it on tv, but if your loved w=one was shown on a close up on the tv then you can sue the tv station

 

is this part of the hillsborough appeal campaign or are they appealing on entirely seperate grounds of police negligence etc..?
