Earl Hafler Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 especially when associated with some Manc bookie Anyway, hoping to continue my run of good form for providing a few of you with more liquid refreshment for the weekend. Innox is the favourite and McCoy is coming over from Punchestown to ride him so will be a warm order but i have doubts. Doumen's horse is essentially a winter horse, with all his wins in this country coming between Novemeber and February, and is on a career high mark of 151.Eric's Charm will also have his admirer's after his recent slaughtering of an average field at the track but this race is much tougher. However, a place seems on the cards. My Will. Ruby Walsh is flying over from Ireland to ride him. He was 3rd to Innox last time over 3m1f and running on at the finish which suggests that this slightly longer trip and a swing in the weights with Innox will give him more of a chance. However, he tends to make mistakes during his races, including a critical one last time out and because of this he has yet to win a handicap ( all wins in novice events ) Puntal is a real danger. He's on the same mark as when he won this race two years ago and unlike many of his rivals, he won't mind these quick conditions. 14-1 each way seems like a good bet and he should get at least a place. 1. Puntal. 2 Innox 3 Eric's Charm. 4. My Will Not as confident a bet as the others but still decent. Kahnee, i'll e-mail you tonight.
